“Working, always working” was the motto of the “mère Brazier”, a central figure in the history of French gastonomy. Eugénie Brazier was awarded the prestigious 3 stars of the Michelin Guide as early as 1933 and she managed to establish herself in a field that is mostly male-dominated. Then and now, women’s talent in the kitchen was recognized at home, but not enough in restaurants. Even if she died 40 years ago, Eugénie Brazier continues to inspire professional cooks and female chefs all over the world through her legendary recipes and her outstanding life story as a determined woman.
